SPECIALIZED: INTERNATIONAL AUTOMOTIVE ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM
1. General Introduction
The International Automobile Engineering Technology Program, situated under the Department of Automotive within the Faculty of Engineering and Technology at Binh Duong University of Economics and Technology, is responsible for organizing university training programs in automotive engineering technology, catering to standard, Vietnamese-Korean, international, and electric car training programs.
2. Training Program
The International Automotive Engineering Technology Program aims to train automotive engineering engineers equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitudes to meet the requirements of science and technology development strategies, both in foreign labor markets and within Vietnam. The program takes pride in being a high-quality training center for producing skilled human resources in the automotive technology industry, serving foreign labor markets, Binh Duong province, and regions across the country.
Students at BETU have the opportunity to engage in extracurricular activities such as football, fashion, cuisine, and specialized competitions like the Car Design competition in Solid works software, self-driving car competitions, student scientific research seminars, etc. These activities provide valuable opportunities for students to hone their skills and personal development. Additionally, students can join the Automotive English Club to enhance their communication skills within the automotive industry, particularly when interacting with foreigners.
3. Scientific Research and Business Cooperation
Scientific research is a primary focus of the Department, with numerous research topics chaired at various levels and published in domestic and international journals. The department's research areas primarily center on the simulation and optimization of automotive systems.
Regarding business cooperation, the Department has established partnerships with numerous companies in Binh Duong province and neighboring areas such as Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai through activities like visits, seminars, internships, and recruitment drives with companies like Hoa Binh Minh Group, Vi. Phat Industrial Trading Company Limited, Honda Auto Binh Duong - Thuan An, Wuling Binh Duong Dealer, etc. This enables students to gain exposure to real working environments, learn from industry experts, and build industry relations, preparing them effectively for the job market post-graduation.
4. Training
The International Automobile Engineering Technology Program is designed with an application-oriented approach, integrating theoretical knowledge closely with practical training. The program spans four years with a total of 150 credits (excluding Physical Education and National Defense Education knowledge), divided into general education and specialized knowledge components:
General education knowledge encompasses National Defense and Security Education (11 credits), English (21 credits), and Natural Sciences and Social Sciences, Skills, Critical Thinking (11 credits).
Professional knowledge includes Basic Industry Knowledge (20 credits), Specialized Knowledge (67 credits), Elective Courses (8 credits), and Internship and Graduation Project (12 credits).
Students undertake business visits in the first semester of the first year and a graduation internship in the second semester of the fourth year, accompanied by a 9-credit graduation project. Through these experiences, students have the opportunity to work with real models and accumulate practical experience in business, enhancing their career skills and prospects before graduation.
Admission to the Engineer of the International Automobile Engineering Technology Program is based on high school transcript evaluation, high school graduation exam results, Ho Chi Minh City National University capacity assessment exam, or direct admission.
The output standards of the International Automobile Engineering Technology Program equip graduates with fundamental scientific knowledge, industry basics, and specialized knowledge about vehicles, enabling them to meet application requirements, conduct research and development, apply knowledge in designing, operating, and effectively managing vehicle technology fields.
Currently, the Department boasts four classrooms utilized for both teaching and scientific research purposes, equipped with appropriate equipment for real-world applications, including an Automotive Practice Center, Computer Room, High Configuration Computer Room, and Lab Room. A team of experienced and knowledgeable lecturers is dedicated to supporting students' development by creating the best learning conditions.
